Faces is an interactive installation. A display constantly shows a series of photos of the people "disappeared" during the military dictatorship of 70's and 80's, interspersed with images of viewers. Visitor are caught, their faces processed and included in this series, which demonstrates that the horror is not past. The system controls our image and makes us participants who both passive and necessary. We can only observe to become part of that arrangement and who does not. But those who are part of that memory is a memory, be within this system in all its forms: active, passive, present or missing, is to be part; and realize this is to build a new look in a reality of which we are and were part.
